A friendly household based in Godalming are seeking an experienced and reliable part time housekeeper to assist with the smooth running of their home. This is a permanent, live out position offering a high degree of flexibility, making it an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated and organised candidate looking for long-term work.

The family live in a comfortable four-bedroom house and are looking for support with general housekeeping, laundry, organisation and household errands. The household includes two teenage daughters aged 12 and 15, who are independent and do not require childcare, although a candidate who is comfortable around children would be a bonus. The family also have a cat, so applicants must be pet friendly. A driver is essential for this role.

The employer is very flexible regarding working days and hours and is happy to work around the successful candidate’s availability where possible. Cooking is not essential, but candidates who enjoy preparing simple family meals would be welcomed.

Duties include:

• general housekeeping and maintaining cleanliness throughout the home
• tidying and organising household spaces
• cleaning kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
• laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
• making beds and changing bed linen
• managing household supplies and grocery shopping
• taking care of recycling and household bins
• helping maintain an organised and well-run home
• running occasional errands as required
• assisting with simple meal preparation if desired
• helping ensure the household runs smoothly on a daily basis
